Academician of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, elected on 13.09.2010 in the speciality ‘Cardiology’, Doctor of Medical Sciences (1982), Professor (1983), Honoured Worker of Science and Technology (1998), Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology (2003). He has been awarded the President of Ukraine’s Badges of Honour, the Order of Merit of the III Degree, the Order of Merit of the II Degree and the Order of Merit of the I Degree. Director of the National Scientific Centre ‘Academician M.D. Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology’ of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (since 1999), Head of the Department of Non-Coronary Heart Diseases and Rheumatology of the National Scientific Centre ‘Academician M.D. Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology’ of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Head of the Department of Therapy and Rheumatology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, Vice President of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (since 2016).
