Сongress UFMO

Dear colleagues!

We invite you to take part in the Congress of the Ukrainian Federation of Medical Organizations, which will take place on August 28, 2020 at 12:00 in the INVERIA conference hall (block B) at the address: 49a Volodymyrska Str., Kyiv.

According to the decision of the UFMO House of Representatives and taking into account the quarantine restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the quota of representation at the Congress is set as follows: 1 delegate from 1 member organization. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the event will be held in a hybrid mode (on site + remotely) with strict observance of sanitary and epidemiological norms and application of all precautionary measures in accordance with the decisions of the Government and the Kyiv City State Administration.

In case the President of the member organization is unable to participate in the work of the Congress in person, he may join, participate in discussion and vote remotely, notifying of his intentions in advance. (ufmo2020@ukr.net)

If a delegate from the member organization is any other (except the President) representative of the member organization, he must have a notarized power of attorney from the acting President, which specifies his authority to represent the member organization at the Congress of UFMO.

Presidents and representatives of other professional medical associations of Ukraine that are interested in cooperation with UFMO and joining its ranks may be invited as guests to the Congress of UFMO. Taking into account the restrictions on public gatherings in premises operating in Kyiv, please notify us of your desire to attend the Congress in advance, but not later than August 26, 2020. Among the invited foreign speakers the following participants will join the work of the Congress: Prof. Rolf Kirschner, Former President of Nordic Ob&Gyn Society, Former EBCOG Secretary General, Former Board Member of Norwegian Medical Association (Kingdom of Norway) and Prof. Hannu Halila, Past President of UEMS, Deputy CEO of Finnish Medical Association (Finland).

In their reports, they will introduce various models of building and operating medical associations in European countries to delegates and guests of the Congress, as well as the role of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) in representing and protecting the common interests of doctors and national medical societies in European region. They will also take part in a discussion on the development of medical self-government in Ukraine, the role of UFMO in this process and the development of a “road map” for further integration and recognition of the medical community of Ukraine in the European professional space.
