The Council of Representatives for the Ukrainian Federation of Professional Medical Associations convened a meeting
During the Council of Representatives meeting on November 18 at NMU, the Committees, Commissions, and working groups were approved for the Ukrainian Federation of Professional Medical Associations. Professor Yuriy Kuchyn, Chairman of the UFPMO and Rector of the O.O. Bogomolets State University, opened the event. Other notable attendees included Professor Vitalii Tsymbaliuk, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Yuriy Voronenko, Rector of the P.L. Shupyk National Institute of Health Sciences of Ukraine, Yevhenii Pedachenko, Director of the Institute of Neurosurgery, and Viacheslav Kaminskyi, President of the UFPMO.
During the meeting, several important topics were discussed. These included the outcomes of the UFPMO’s activities for 2021, as well as a presentation on the organization’s ongoing projects. Another notable topic was the proposal for creating permanent and temporary committees, commissions, and working groups to facilitate the implementation of the UFPMO’s activities. Additionally, the formation of governing bodies and the presentation of the UFPMO’s stance on BPR were discussed. The President of the UFPMO, Vyacheslav Kaminsky, emphasized the need to expand membership and improve the structure for increased efficiency and partnership with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The meeting also included a discussion on the «On self-governance of medical professions in Ukraine» project.
During the UFPMO meeting, the President proposed the creation of several Committees, Commissions, and working groups to facilitate the implementation of the organization’s activities. Kaminsky also suggested a new organizational structure for better coordination. The vertical level of interaction includes the Committee on medical education and BPR, the Committee on medical practice and quality standards of providing medical care to the population, the Committee on Legal Issues and Protection of Interests of UFPMO Members, and the Committee on interaction with the professional community. On the other hand, the horizontal interactions will be coordinated by the Commission for the organization of interaction with the Ministry of Health, the Commission for the organization of interaction at the international level, and the Commission for social modernization of the management system of the medical industry at the regional level. There will also be Acting Commissions based on the proposals of the Council.
