Application of the candidate for the position of rector of the Bukovinian State Medical University
My vision for the urgent strategic task of the Rector of BSMU:
I firmly believe that a university is more than just buildings and educational tools; it is a community of individuals who teach and learn from each other. In this sense, it is crucial to preserve the team and jobs for each employee, as it is fundamental to the survival of the university.
The quality of education and skills of the graduates, their competitiveness in the job market, and the well-being of the professors, teaching staff, and employees are essential indicators of the state of the university.
Under the leadership of Taras Boichuk, the team at the Bukovinian State Medical University has achieved a lot in creating and improving the production system of modern, high-quality educational products that are competitive globally. However, the pandemic and the armed aggression of the Russian Federation have significantly changed the situation, and the university’s survival is at stake. Without a proper response and modern management decisions, the university could face catastrophic problems such as department reductions.
During these difficult times, it is our patriotic duty to preserve and develop our alma mater by strengthening our cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, the National Health Service of Ukraine, and other leading medical universities. Our goal is full integration into a single medical, educational, and scientific space as a Western Ukrainian center for undergraduate and postgraduate education, modern science, and specialized medical care, with National status.
