A separate territorial unit of the UFPMO to be established in the Chernivtsi region

This decision was reached during an offsite meeting in Chernivtsi.

Vasyl Lazoryshynets, the President-elect of the Ukrainian Federation of Professional Medical Organisations (UFPMO), stated that this move is part of the UFPMO’s effort to optimize its structure. As part of this optimization, new chambers such as Chambers of Dentists, Chambers of General Practitioners, Chambers of Pharmacists, Chambers of Nurses, etc., will be created on a territorial basis.

Healthcare professionals who are members of the UFPMO member associations and work in the respective administrative-territorial unit will be the participants of the territorial units.

The formation of a separate unit is based on the decision of the Congress of Delegates of member organizations, following an appeal from the President or the Board and/or members of the UFPMO in the relevant administrative-territorial unit. Healthcare professionals who are members of territorial separate subdivisions will be involved in the formation of new chambers of the UFPMO.

This restructuring of the UFPMO’s structure is referred to as the ‘Targeted Action Strategy’. Its goal is to ensure the implementation of European principles of medical self-government, the development of appropriate professional standards, and an increase in the efficiency of certification of medical professionals in the regions.

Chernivtsi and Kyiv regions have been designated as pilot regions.

An event similar to this one will take place in the Kyiv region at the end of September.
