Medical Council of the UFPMO Gathers to Discuss Latest Developments in the Medical Industry

On October 27, the UFPMO Medical Council held its planned meeting in an online format, with 47 invited representatives in attendance, granting legitimacy to the proceedings.

The Chairman of the Medical Council, Valerii Mykolaiovych Zaporozhan, began the meeting with a moment of silence in honor of the soldiers and medical workers who lost their lives defending the independence of Ukraine.

The following individuals were among those invited to the meeting: Serhii Hennadiiovych Ubohov, Director of the Ministry of Health; Tetiana Mykolaivna Donchenko, Deputy Head of the Service for Social and Humanitarian Security of the NSDC of Ukraine; and Viacheslav Volodymyrovych Kaminskyi, President of the Ukrainian National Defense Fund.

The Medical Council of the UFPMO appointed a Counting Commission for the meeting, comprising Pertseva Tetiana Oleksiivna, Pohulieva Tetiana Mykolaivna, and Yatsenko Volodymyr Ivanovych. Following a vote, Valentyna Mykolaivna Protsenko was elected as the secretary of the Counting Commission.

The meeting’s main agenda was the election of deputy heads of the Medical Council of the UFPMO, which was successfully accomplished. The candidacies of Litus Oleksandr Ivanovych, Nadutyi Kostiantyn Oleksandrovych, and Pertseva Tetiana Oleksiivna were all unanimously supported.

Additionally, the «Regulations on the Medical Council of the UFPMO» were reviewed and approved during the meeting, marking a significant step towards improving the Council’s governance framework.

During the meeting of the Medical Council of the UFPMO, the Chairman of the Council, Valerii Mykolaiovych, laid out the priorities and coordinated actions of the members of the UFPMO on various issues. These include approving clinical standards for medical care, adapting medical guidelines and guidelines, assessing the quality of medical care provided to the population, and defining professional requirements for medical professionals and their continuous professional development.

The Meeting unanimously adopted the criteria for delegation to the Medical Council members and accepted members of specialized committees of the UFPMO. The General Secretary of the UFPMO, Dmytro Serhiiovych Ledin, presented the list of the Chamber of Experts and justified the strategy of the UFPMO regarding this advisory body. The Medical Council approved the decision on the election of members of the Chamber of Specialists.

Another important issue discussed was the need to revise the list of expert groups of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and nominate candidates from the Medical Council of the UFPMO to be members of these groups. The question was put to a vote and approved by the members of the Medical Council. The Counting Commission comprised of Pertseva Tetiana Oleksiivna, Pohulieva Tetiana Mykolaivna, and Yatsenko Volodymyr Ivanovych, tallied the votes and elected Valentyna Mykolaivna Protsenko as the secretary of the Counting Commission.

Additionally, the Meeting unanimously supported the candidacies of Litus Oleksandr Ivanovych, Nadutyi Kostiantyn Oleksandrovych, and Pertseva Tetyana Oleksiivna for the positions of deputy heads of the Medical Council of the UFPMO. Finally, the Regulations on the Medical Council of the UFPMO were reviewed and approved.
